Yesterday afternoon, Justin and I ate supper at Farm Burger in Decatur. Farm Burger is a hamburger restaurant that is very proud of where their meat and vegetables come from. Their meat is from 100% grassfed cows. I couldn't tell you if this means the beef tastes any different because I don't eat meat. It seems to be very important to them so it must be a big deal.
You walk up to the counter to order. You are given a number to place on your table so your food can be brought to you. With the exception of food delivery, everything is self-serve. This is actually nice since you aren't being interrupted by someone asking if you need anything. The screaming kids at a nearby table were pretty annoying, but that's not the restaurant's fault. We seemed to get there at the right time because there was no line when we arrived. After we were seated, the line began to quickly build.
Justin and I both ordered the #2 Blackboard Burger. It is a vegetable quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) burger with arugula, feta cheese, house-made pickles, and dijon mayo. Justin ordered his with sweet potato fries and I got regular fries. We both enjoyed our burgers, but I think I'll build my own next time. This one was great, but there were lots of other toppings that I'd like to try.
